With the ability to support CMOs with the pressures of fast growing companies, The Specialist Works have worked with the likes of Boohoo.com and OVO Energy - both of which have grown incredibly and at rapid speeds.
Lockdown meant pivoting and a need to move fast for everyone but for The Specialist Works, it's at the core of what they do. As an independent agency, Martin touches upon how great it's been having bi-weekly video calls with other CEOs of independent agencies. Normally they're competing with each other but in the current climate, they've all been battling the same problems and have the same goals - to look after their people, and to look after their clients. It's turned into really useful sharing between such agencies.
They discuss getting back into the office and the obstacles with having offices based in different locations including Ireland, USA and UK. They've made sure that meetings which were monthly pre-lockdown are now much more regular to ensure employees are connected and to look out for their mental health - Martin shares more himself now to empower others to open up too which has worked very well.
