We’re so proud that Suki Thompson, Oystercatchers CEO, and member of Centaur plc Executive Committee, has been named winner at the enterprising women WinTRADE Awards 2018.
Winning as entrepreneur in “Women in Advertising” category, Suki shared the accolade with Google’s Nisham Robb, UK Marketing Director, whose support of entrepreneurs in the advertising business was also recognised.
The WinTRADES celebrate game-changing women across corporate structures and small businesses worldwide and across multiple industry sectors from Women in Banking & Finance, to Women in Tech, to Women in Armed Forces, to Women in Law. The Awards are gathering a raft of high-profile sponsorship partners including Deloitte, The Ministry of Defence, NAT West, Thompson Reuters, The Royal Air Force, The Royal Navy, The Army, Aviva, Facebook.
Asked for her thoughts, Suki commented, “These extraordinary awards are connecting trailblazing women across the world and creating opportunities. They are a truly inspirational force for good for business. I’m incredibly proud and honoured to be part of such remarkable company – and it’s really thanks to the team I work with who have made this possible.”
The WinTRADE Awards
The awards are part of WinTrade Week – the brainchild of Dr Yvonne Thompson CBS who has been running the women-in-business network since 1996.
Dr Thompson has hosted business delegations from Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Holland, France, Germany, the US and Canada looking to do business with women in business here in the UK. In 2017, she decided to bring her global networks together in the same place at the same time for one whole week.
The coming together of these networks formed the very first WinTRADE Week London 2017 – hosting over 200 women globally. Events were held at The House of Lords, Dutch Embassy, European School of Economics, Deloitte, Royal Bank of Scotland, Metro Designs, and was supported by LinkedIn, GQ magazine, L’Oréal, Diageo, and Uber.
