VISUAL DIET/ MTART PARTNERSHIP
We think about how what we eat affects our physical health, but do we apply the same care to our visual diet and our mental health? In January 2019, we launched Visual Diet, a campaign platform to raise awareness of the link between our visual diet and mental health.
Everyday we consume thousands of images, from our social media feeds, news and content platforms, TV, print and outdoor media, much of which is damaging our mental health. As one of the world’s largest independent agency networks we believe that we have a responsibility to ensure that the images we create are positive, interesting, thought-provoking or helpful. Not harmful. We are calling on the industry to be more mindful of the images they put out into the world.
Since launching, we have collaborated with world-renowned photographer Rankin, global art entrepreneur Marine Tanguy and Jude Kelly OBE, taking the discussion around Visual Diet to a number of key industry events including The International Festival of Creativity at Cannes and Creative Equals’ RISE. Visual Diet has attracted global media interest from across Australia, India, Russia, Japan, US, Dubai, Spain, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Poland and South Africa.
