The whole Oystercatchers team are incredibly excited to finally be back to hosting the Oystercatchers Club events in person. Over the last few years, these have become well known within our industry for bringing together senior marketers for networking and insightful panel discussions.

It’s been a tough 18 months. Marketers have flexed, evolved and supercharged to answer new and different challenges which many of us have never seen before. And that's in addition to the impact we’re all experiencing as human beings.

We’ve climbed mountains: furlough, redundancies, budget cuts and focus on short term results to justify spend. Not everyone is recovering at the same pace.

With 2022 on the doorstep, how do brands and agencies build confidence in marketing and resell marketing to their organisations and the wider industry?  How does marketing remain on the top table for some, and, for others how does it get onto that table? The good news is that confidence is growing. Reuters reports that British employers are at their most confident about the economy in almost five years. The IPA Bellwether Report reveals that total marketing budgets across the UK increased for the first time since Q4 2019. Powerhouse WPP has announced recovery faster than predicted.
