Case Study: VERB Brands & Gaucho
VERB’s seamless website redesign and rebuild, twinned with an effective SEO migration, delivered a +208% increase in bookings from the Gaucho website in the first 5 months post-launch.
VERB delivered a meticulously planned WordPress site migration. We combined SEO best practice with enhanced website UX to create a brand new website design, leveraging bespoke web functionalities to boost revenue and bookings.
The Gaucho website did not have a user-friendly booking process; the site presented an old layout outdated for the current web design standard. Users were led to an external site to complete the reservation and the process required numerous steps. As a result, users often ended up leaving the website before completing the booking process (57% exit rate in the last six month ahead of the migration).
Gaucho now enables users to book a table in just a couple of clicks. The Web design and development team added enhanced website functionality so that event tickets can be purchased online, and boosted bookings from the wine shop by integrating its checkout process with the main website.
The pre-migration and post-migration SEO audit was key to ensuring that every URL successfully moved to the new destination. Any pages that were built for old events were redirected, and now only updated restaurants, menus, and current main events are available on the site. To increase the number of users, VERB started the citation process, ensuring that the right name, address and postcode was available on every business directory on the web.
Since the first month, the Gaucho website has seen an increase in organic sessions by 30% YoY, with more users coming to the site every single month. VERB drove a +208% increase in bookings November 2019- February 2020.
