A multichannel restaurant launch for KFC

With KFC launching a brand-new restaurant in London’s famous Leicester Square, Team ITG took the helm, fully managing the project from the initial kick-off call right the way through to the opening day.

This was a hugely important project, not just for the franchisee but for KFC as a whole, particularly with the new site sitting in the heart of such an iconic location. Planning began 10 weeks prior to the big day, as we kicked off proceedings by mapping out a local marketing plan to increase awareness of the opening and to ensure the campaign was truly multichannel in nature. Our teams also produced social media creative to further spread the word of the new restaurant and drive interest prior to the opening.

Crucial at this stage of the project was Team ITG’s game-changing, cloud-based marketing execution technology, CanopyCloud. Our revolutionary tech powers KFC’s new local marketing portal, which incorporates both the CanopyStores and CanopyWorkflow platforms.

CanopyStores enabled the production of on-brand, fully compliant local marketing assets, while CanopyWorkflow ensured that the numerous stakeholders involved could collaborate with ease, briefing, editing and approving work from a single, accessible location.

Our team are experts in crafting amazing, impactful customer experiences that are effective and efficient in equal measure. For the day itself, we revamped the store’s doorway to make it a destination with eye-catching appeal even amongst its illustrious Leicester Square surroundings, while also organising merchandise giveaways for customers and food drops to Global radio stations, including Heart, Capital and Radio X.
