WPP has created an integrated agency powerhouse in Wunderman Thompson. It was Campaign’s Customer Engagement Agency of the Year in 2019 – an impressive achievement in only its first full year as a merged agency, born from the embers of J Walter Thompson and the fiery Wunderman.

It showed it can pitch and win big accounts with great ideas that live across different channels, such as  "Unscripted" for BT Sport (pictured), but also gobble up meaty customer experience briefs for the likes of Tui, Walmart and Centrica. And it wins big CRM accounts (Centrica and Toyota). So it’s not difficult to see why it was able to grow its new-business revenue by a huge 600% last year.
