No. 3 Gin and BBD Perfect Storm and have won the coveted RED Globe for Best Campaign in the World at this year’s MAA Worldwide Globe Awards.
In addition to the winning the top prize, our ‘Art of Perfection’ campaign also won a Gold Globe for Best Integrated Campaign, a Silver Globe for Best Launch or Re-Launch Campaign as well as the inaugural ‘Best of the Brits’ Award.
No.3 Gin came to us because they wanted to shine a spotlight on No.3 Gin and show consumers why it was so special.Named the Best London Dry Gin in the world four times, yet it was still getting lost in the sea of competition up against gins with larger name recognition and bigger budgets. To stand out, we looked to the product for answers, creating what was essentially the most exquisite product ad.
We partnered with micro-photographer Justin Zoll. Working in his New York-based studio, we froze and crystalised elements of No.3, and several of their signature cocktails. We used a magnification between 40 and 50X to get the stunning details of the crystals, capturing the kaleidoscopic world that looked more like abstract paintings than liquid using a Canon 5DMKIII. Each image a panorama comprised of many individual photos allowing for a larger field of view.
We framed our artworks like the masterpieces they were and created a citywide exhibition – our pattern across posters, OOH, social media, activations, and instore. The Art of Perfection campaign beautifully captured the essence of No.3 Gin, and the spirit of the distilling artisans behind it, and saw outstanding results – including a 49.8% increase in year-on-year sales.
