Creative Equals’ #CEBusiness Leaders Programme
We were delighted to join Creative Equals yesterday morning for the second year of their #CEBusiness Leaders Programme.
It’s the second year of Creative Equals’ #CEBusiness Leaders Programme and we’re thrilled that Oystercatchers is again playing an important role in making it happen. Co-founded by Helen James, MD at CPB London, and Creative Equals' Ali Hanan, the course is a programme of support, mentorship and training designed to help women in UK advertising super charge their careers and advance in management.
2018’s inaugural course saw 23 women graduate, including planners, client services executives, brand managers/directors and heads of new business. The latest cohort of young women started Creative Equals Business in September 2019 and will graduate in March 2020, having passed through a series of modules including How to Build High Functioning Teams; Mastering the Language and Structure of Negotiation, and Exploring the Art of Pitching and Selling.
Module 5 took place this week and the focus was on pitching and selling. It was chaired by Richard Lawson of ITN Productions and took place at their offices.
With Oystercatchers’ pitch expertise, it was the perfect module for our managing director & Creative Equals advisory board member, Richard Robinson, to share a whole host of knowledge alongside Catrina Funk, VP, European Brand & Marketing Director, TJX Europe, TK Maxx & Homesense.
Richard and Cat explored the art of the sell; from big pitch situations to a conversation over coffee – and how to be best placed to win the day.
Oystercatchers have actively supported Creative Equals since it was first launched by Ali Hanan. We’re incredibly proud of everything the Creative Equals team achieve as they champion outstanding female talent and push for greater gender-balance in creative agencies.
