Visability93 is a collective of creatives from McCann London, many of whom have loved ones with invisible disabilities. Seeing their loved ones suffer, the team wanted to use creativity to do something about it. The team came up with a new set of icons in order to start a conversation about how these disabilities are communicated in public . The initial icons are by no means a final product, but a starter for 10. The public and fellow creatives are urged to contribute to the campaign and evolve the icons. Now the team is collaborating with designers, charities and people living with invisible disabilities to update the symbols. Ultimately, their end goal is to redesign the International Symbol of Access to include all disabilities, visible or not.
