Ian Millner is the Global Chief Executive of Iris and a founding partner of the agency.
Back in 1999, having grown bored of big agency politics and frustrated by bureaucracy, Ian set up Iris with the idea becoming a real alternative to the large and traditional advertising led global networks. One that could innovate around client needs and, in turn, help clients to innovate around business and consumer needs. Today Iris is a diverse, thriving, multi-specialist creative network with over 1,000 people across 14 offices, partnered with some of the most adventurous and successful clients in the world.
Iris works with global clients such as Samsung, adidas, Shell, Starbucks, Lego and Philips across an increasingly diverse range of disciplines including; Advertising, Media Strategy, Influencer, Experiential, Content, CRM, Digital, Brand Strategy, Proposition Development, Pricing Strategy, Business Intelligence and E-commerce, to name just a few.
Before setting up Iris, Ian held the role of New Business Director at IMP (now called Arc), one of the UK’s leading below-the-line agencies. As New Business Director, he played a fundamental role in the agency’s growth by securing several high profile new business wins, including Philips, Procter & Gamble, Fiat, Orange and Virgin Direct.
