Helen is a co-founder of Lucky Generals – a creative company for people on a mission.
She has worked in advertising for over 20 years. Her career started with 10 years at AMV BBDO (the UK’s biggest agency). This was followed by 12 years at MCBD, the agency she co-founded and where she worked for some great brands including Waitrose, Virgin and the Department of Health, as well as Hovis (for which the agency won ad of the decade).
Helen has an MBA with distinction from London Business School.
She was Trustee of Cancer Research UK for four years, and is a member of the 30 Club and a proud member and former President of WACL (Women in Advertising).
Helen has never been happier than she is now, building Lucky Generals with her partners Andy Nairn and Danny Brooke-Taylor, alongside the astonishing and fast-growing group of Generals who make coming to work a daily joy. She is hoping that the harder they work, the luckier they will get. And nearly 5 years into the Lucky Gs adventure this seems to be true, as the agency now works for amazing clients like Amazon, Unilever, Hostelworld, Premier Inn, ABInbev and Yorkshire Tea. The agency has been shortlisted for Agency of the Year for 3 years in a row and we like the bridesmaid role. The bouquet smells sweet.
