Ian is CEO and ECD of AML Group which creates ‘simple ideas for complicated businesses’, delivering high-end strategic and creative thinking for mainly finance, pro services, technology and government clients.
Ian led a buyout of AML in 2011 and the agency has since grown significantly winning a number of global lead relationships like AXA, Pictet and Robeco as well as local clients in UK, EU and US. Ian was creative director then took over as CEO of Masius, Publicis Groupe’s successful business agency in London and New York, where clients included Volvo, EY and Jupiter. He then started a business agency at Engine group in 2009 before moving on to AML.
Having started out as an advertising copywriter at a number of London agencies Ian’s past experience also includes creative director at DMB&B Financial and creative director of BMW’s brand consultancy BGA. Ian writes on business and travel for a number of national magazines and newspapers and is a frequent speaker at conferences and on broadcast media. He lives in London and likes boats and bikes.
