Situation
In 2009, BUPA wanted to bolster their marketing effort as part of a complete change programme throughout their organisation at both Group , local and International level. BUPA UK asked Oystercatchers to run an independent and objective review of where they spend their marketing budget, how best to measure results and how to optimise future expenditure.
Action
Oystercatchers reviewed the current marketing objectives, measurement and returns. We recommended that if investment were channeled into other business areas it would generate a higher return.
We helped BUPA to review their media mix, recommending significant changes to the overall channel mix to help drive BUPA’S business results in 2010.
We also identified a number of areas where significant savings across the total marketing budget could be made.
Outcome
Throughout 2010, we will be helping BUPA to implement these savings.
